Employee metrics can look intimidating to new managers, but after this article, you'll understand the four major touchstones of the metrics page and how to read them. In employee metrics, ExpandShare graphs:

  • Turnover Rate - calculated at the end of every month by adding the number of employees archived each month over the past year and dividing it by the total number of employees active.
  • Average Tenure (orange)- calculated by averaging the amount of time each employee has been at the store at the end of each month
  • Employee Count (purple)- the number of employees at your store at the end of each month
  • Training Completion (blue) - calculated by the percentage of your total assigned training completion

The Main Graph allows all of the touchstones to be seen in one panel over 12 months.  We can also view data averages and corporate comparisons to the right.

The light blue line is the corporate average training completion, and the light orange is the corporate average annual turnover.

You can view this legend (and the percentages from each month) anytime by hovering over the graph.
